1 Transmission Failure problem of the 2014 Nissan Versa Note

Failure Date: 07/29/2020

The transmission failed in my 2014 Nissan Versa Note because of their design issue and I paid out of pocket to fix it and replaced it at Nissan dealership may the 15th and yesterday July 29th at 7pm this second transmission failed extremely another time when I was exiting the highway in sioux falls sd and I almost killed by fast traffic because my car wasn't accelerating and my foot was all the way to the floor and no power so I stopped the car and I was praying no one will kill me in that very fast traffic since I was in the middle of the road and they couldn't let me pull over when I started experiencing the issue so I turned off the car and I restarted it after 20 min and while I was waiting for the car to cool down I was calling sioux falls police department but unfortunately no answer after a wait of 15min . The car is still under warranty for the second transmission but I returned it 3 times to them and they claimed there is no issue in the reports. But ai legally recorded them confirming the issue when they were test driving it and I took it to another transmission repair shop and they confirmed there is an issue.

2 Transmission Failure problem of the 2014 Nissan Versa Note

Driving car at highway speeds and lost the ability to maintain speed. Had to pull alongside road. Had car towed to my mechanic where it was determined the transmission failed.

3 Transmission Failure problem of the 2015 Nissan Versa Note

Failure Date: 07/07/2017

I pulled into my driveway from a turn, probably going 5 mph, at a slight up grade, and my cvt transmission failed -- it stopped. The engine was on, running normal, but when I pressed the gas, floored it, even, there was zero response. No revving, nothing. I switch gears to low, then park, then reverse, then drive. Still nothing. Then after about a minute had passed since the initial failure, it started to rev a bit at low rpms, then finally kick in and drive me up my driveway. This occurred on the same drive in which the car was lurching, bucking, and shaking violently upon acceleration, particularly accelerating from a low speed to a high one quickly. This has been happening since one month after I bought it pre-owned and certified from enterprise car sales in elmwood NJ. The power train is covered by both Nissan and enterprise. But when I bring it in to the Nissan dealership in rockland (blauvelt, NY), they want to charge me $138 for diagnostics that will probably show nothing. Six weeks ago I brought it in for the exact same two problems, and it refused to misbehave for the mechanic, it threw no codes, and the engine light did not come on. . Read more...
