Wheel Rim problems of the 2000 Nissan Xterra

I did not recieve recall info on alloy wheel and fuel sending unit from Nissan for my 2000 Xterra. In addition I had my nissian serviced several times at a dealer and was not made aware of the recall. Only when I did research did I find out there was a recall.

Nissan Xterra, wheels on these vehicle may not have been properly manufactured, could develop cracks in wheel spokes. Recall 03v307000.

Vehicle is inoperative because of cracked rims.

Recall 03v307000/alloy wheel cracks. Vehicle experienced cracking of the alloy wheels. It was the front left wheel that had the defect. Consumer contacted the manufacturer, and was told that the VIN for this vehicle was not included in the recall. Consumer will have to pay out of pocket to repair this defect.

Alloy wheels on 2000 Nissan Xterra se models are cracking. I noticed two 1" cracks in one of my wheels while washing the vehicle. A local dealership reluctantly replaced the wheel free of charge. Since I found the crack in my wheel I have come across several people with cracking wheels on the identical model and year.
