Power Steering Pump problems of the 2002 Nissan Xterra

Tl- the contact owns a 2002 Nissan Xterra. The contact stated the vehicle had NHTSA recall campaign id number: 10v554000 (steering column) and then started having problems with the steering. The contact took the vehicle back to the dealer and was told the upper steering column needed to be replace and possibly the gear box. The contact was then told by the manufacturer to take the vehicle to another dealer. The vehicle was taken to another dealer and the contact was told the vehicle needed a new power steering pump. The contact feels the problems started with the recall repair because the steering worked fine and was not stiff prior to the recall. The failure mileage and current mileages were 92,000. Rl.
