Tl-the contact owns a 1996 Oldsmobile eighty eight. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked at a doctors office, she was notified that the vehicle was on fire. The contact stated that the front of the vehicle was engulfed in flames. The contact stated that the fire department was able to extinguish the fire. No police report was filed. The contact stated that no injury was sustained in the fire. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was destroyed. The approximate failure mileage was 200,000. Ah.
At start up, there was a loud explosion. (engine burned).
