2 Brake Electric Antilock problem of the 1996 Oldsmobile Achieva

Failure Date: 05/01/1999

Horn sounded for 45" then blew fuse and 1-f-note. Replaced fuse, f-note and both regulators ($125). 2 weeks later, at highway speed, horn started blowing until I pulled over and removed fuse. Dealership indicates wiring problem. Brakes bounce and create loud thumping noise at low speeds, had both rotors replaced and rear drums scraped. Problem still exists daily.

3 Brake Electric Antilock problem of the 1998 Oldsmobile Achieva

Failure Date: 04/28/1999

At any speed vehicle will accelerate up to 70 mph, making it hard to stop vehicle. Took to dealer, and they said maybe the mat was getting stuck between pedal. 2nd time they said it was the computer, and third time they said solenoid was bad. Then they said abs had a short in it. Dealer still has not found the cause of the problem.

4 Brake Electric Antilock problem of the 1997 Oldsmobile Achieva

Failure Date: 10/23/1996

During vehicle operation, the speed control was set at 60 mph, the steering wheel locked up without warning, causing the driver to lose control/accident, vehicle has abs brakes.
