Alternator,serp belt tensioner, serp belt, r& r alternator,r & r belt tensioner . . . The tension acutally broke off and destroyed the other parts. How can this happen???? for only 43000 miles on this car thats ridiculous. . . Any help here/?.
I have had several problems with my Oldsmobile Achieva since buying it in February of 2001. The water pump went out 6 months after I got it. The serpentine belt has been replaced twice in less than a year. I have replaced the oil sending unit. I have replaced bushing on both front end lower arm controls. The coolant has started to leak. I just had a part that holds the bearings in the wheel replaced and now I am having the transmission replaced.
Rear ended by another vehicle, lumbar support adjusted 75-85% to the front and my back got very strong stroke of lumbar support, resulted in herniated disk. Possible there is a design problem.
At any speed vehicle will accelerate up to 70 mph, making it hard to stop vehicle. Took to dealer, and they said maybe the mat was getting stuck between pedal. 2nd time they said it was the computer, and third time they said solenoid was bad. Then they said abs had a short in it. Dealer still has not found the cause of the problem.
When driving vehicle at various speeds vehicle would stop accelerating & would shut down. Sometimes either check engine light comes on or battery light comes on. Have taken to dealer at least 6 times for non accelerating & the panel lights.
