1 Fuel Hoses Lines/piping And Fittings problem

Failure Date: 09/14/2011

The contact owns a 2000 Oldsmobile Alero. The contact stated that while entering a residential driveway, there was an abnormal popping sound heard from the vehicle. The vehicle was inspected by a certified mechanic who advised that the steering column was fractured and the fuel lines were cracked which caused fuel to be spilled. The dealer was contacted and the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 189,000. The dealer was made aware of the problem. 2 Fuel Hoses Lines/piping And Fittings problem

There is an evaporation leak due to defective fuel hose which was replaced 3 times, and fuel neck and it was replaced 2 times. Defect was causing engine light to stay on. Also solenoid was replaced. Vehicle was sent to dealer 7 times, but could not determine cause.
