2000 Oldsmobile Alero 2. 4 2door coup faulty wiring harness my cause fire under the dash board and cost over 700 dollars in damage. A wire merge for the gauge cluster fails and damages the entire wire cluster.
The brake rotors turned twice and replaced once. This caused the brake pads to have to be replaced. The drivers door automatic window motor had to be replaced twice and now the passenger door window was doing the same thing. The interior light fell out and had to be put back in. The sun visor came loose and had to be tightened again. The cd player had to be replaced. A backlash of electricity caused a fuse to be replaced. The car died on a highway and towed to the dealership. The intact manifold leaked, it was tightened up and one month later the same problem happened again. The drivers side seat belt did not detract automatically.
GMC is sending someone to check this out. I hope they do the right thing. No safety defect mentioned.
