Accelerator pedal jams. Hard to press on it. When forced, vehicle would suddenly take off after pedal goes to the floor. Mechanic indicated throttle body needed maintenance. Would happen only when starting vehicle up.
While driving vehicle suddenly accelerated. Driver had to apply brakes very hard in order to stop vehicle, which may have resulted in a crash. Oldmovile hot line said it may have been the cruise control. Currently vehicle at the dealer. Dealer is unable to find the cause for sudden acceleration of the vehicle.
