While braking a vibration was felt in the brake pedal and steering wheel. The dealer turned the rotors and the problem subsided for a while. The vibration returned after about 5000 miles. The vehicle was returned to the dealer who stated that the rotors were warped. The consumer learned of a recall 99v-081 related to incorrect brake rotors and believes his vehicle should be included in the recall.

The contact owns a 1999 Oldsmobile Aurora. The contact stated while depressing the brake pedal at various speeds the vehicle began to sway. Nhtsa recall campaign number: 99v081000 (service brakes, hydraulic) could have been related to the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 175,000.
