One problem related to gas recirculation valve (egr valve) has been reported for the 1999 Oldsmobile Aurora. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Sometimes on start up the engine shakes and smells of fumes are very strong and the service engine light comes on but after maybe a couple of days of off and on cycling the car returns to normal operation and after a while it will do the same thing over.
