The contact owns a 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora. On two different occasions, the rims failed due to inner corrosion and deterioration. Additionally, the chrome was peeling and air was leaking from the rims. One tire continued to lose air, so the contact purchased four new tires. A few days later, the tires began losing air again due to deteriorated and corroded rims. The purchase date was unknown. The current mileage was 63,100 and failure mileage was 36,446. Updated 3/5/08.
Possible due to dropping or poor handling at manufacture, the inside wall of the tire had a small hole in it about the damaged wheel, which was caused by dropping the rim on the floor, resulted in a slow leak and then a flat.
