1 Brake Fluid Leak problem of the 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora

Failure Date: 07/14/2014

I am writing to you to detail an issue with the brake system on this vehicle. I have had this issue with no brake pressure or very little for months now and in September of 2014 I took the car to a shop to have the brakes checked. The shop told me the master cylinder needed to be replaced at my cost and I allowed them to replace the master cylinder. When I drove the car home it seemed as if the problem had been corrected. However, I had an appt with my dr. And had no issue getting there. Leaving the appt and onto the freeway home and I noticed again brake pressure had become lacking again. I got off the major freeway and took sidestreet home and as I got even closer to home the same issue had returned. I had almost no brake pressure and by the time I got around the corner from my home the low brake fluid indicator had come on. This had never happened before. There were no leaks of brake fluid from this vehicle before. I would notice such a leak . Taking it back to the shop the next morning the shop foreman indicated to me that it was now the abs unit which was now leaking brake fluid and that it needed to be replaced at a cost of over $1500. 00. I checked into a recall for this abs leaking issue and not only called gm but checked my VIN with the database and now I am being advised that this VIN is not in the recall list for the same issue that over 8147 units have had. I do not understand why if this is a known issue with other vehicles same make and model and year why I am now forced to now be without a car since I cannot afford to replace this abs module at this specific ridiculous cost and I cannot drive the car being the huge safety hazard it is being without proper brakes. I cannot get my car to pass utah state inspection either which means I cannot license the car for the year. I cant get to work or anywhere else I could kill someone or myself with no brakes.

2 Brake Fluid Leak problem of the 1997 Oldsmobile Aurora

Failure Date: 04/26/2013

Both rear brake lines are so extremely corroded it actually rusted through the metal brake lines in several different locations on both rear brake lines and is leaking in large amounts at the severe corroded spots of the lines. Also the front brake lines are also extremely corroded they just have yet to corrode completely through the metal line and leak brake fluid yet but can gurantee they will in less than 20k miles easily! and the master cylinder is not divided into 2 divided and separate resivoirs for the front and rear distribution braking hydraulic power in case the rear brake pressure would not be enough for the rear calipers to work or if the opposite happened to the front and its because fluid started leaking: that way there is still fluid left in the master cylinder resivoir for either the front brakes or rear brakes, whichever line(s) aaren't leaking and so the remaining braking axle still has remaining excess brake fluid to stop. ,.
