The rear fog lights are very distracting. They are as bright as the brake lights and could be confused as them. At night they can also be blinding and deter from their real purpose. European cars typically have one rear fog light in the back. This is usually one of the back-up lights. The olds uses two very bright red lights for this. Most of the time, this lights are on when they should not be.

This is not applicable to a particular vehicle I own. It is a major concern to me though. I have noticed many 2001 Oldsmobile Auroras driving around with rear fog lights on under conditions where they are not necessary. The rear fog lights look like brake lights, and more than once I thought the person was trying to stop. I feel this is very dangerous, and someone needs to investigate this issue.
