Two problems related to brake hoses, lines/piping, and fittings have been reported for the 1996 Oldsmobile Bravada. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Due to location of the battery, acid leaked onto brake line, causing brake line to rupture, and resulting in loss of all brake fluid which caused complete brake failure when driving. Consumer has contacted the dealer.
Battery case cracked and leaked acid onto brake line routed directly below battery. Line was damaged by acid and failed causing loss of braking.
