Headlights problems of the 1998 Oldsmobile Bravada

Two problems related to headlights have been reported for the 1998 Oldsmobile Bravada. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Headlights problem

Failure Date: 01/31/2006

Transmission problems, windshield wipers not working, headlights not working, awd problems, cooling system problems, fuel pump, control arm & ball joint problems are just some of the major safety issues on 96-99 gm blazers, Bravada's, & jimmys. These problems should really be looked into and recalled. Most problems starting right after warranty expired. Can't believe gm is getting away with this. Transmission went bad at 71000 miles and dealer says that they know there was a defect with the transmissions also problem (code 1870) but they will not cover the repair.

2 Headlights problem

Failure Date: 10/14/1998

Advertized safety feature "daytime running lights" were not installed on Bravadas, with a VIN number of "1ghdt13w3w2724528," and later, during the 1998 manufactuing season. I was informed by Oldsmobile on 10/16/1998 that they were working on correcting this serious safety defect. To date, 01/10/2000, nothing has been done to correct this situation.
