Power Window problems of the 1998 Oldsmobile Bravada

Three problems related to power window have been reported for the 1998 Oldsmobile Bravada. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Power Window problem

Failure Date: 02/12/2004

There is currently a recall of 600,000 suvs by GMC due to faulty windshield wipers. Oldsmobile Bravadas are incuded, but GMC says my 1998 Oldsmobile Bravada is not included in the recall. I had the same problem with my windshield wipers in the spring, and had them repaired. This was a costly repair, and I think it is a design defect. This problem should be investigated and resolved in all Bravadas. On the interner, it seems this is a common problem with Oldsmobile Bravadas, and they should be made to pay for the repairs. Also there is a problem with the driver electronic window- works sometimes and sometimes does not. My friend has an olds alero with the same problem. Needs to be researched. This is inconvenient and dangerous.

2 Power Window problem

Failure Date: 02/01/1999

Due to defective electrical problems windows went up and down/ headlights malfunctioned, and braking system malfunctioned, causing a crash. Also, while driving battery cable fell apart which caused the vehicle to stall unexpectedly which may have caused a crash.

3 Power Window problem

Rear hatch glass flies up when a truck passed by coming toward us. About a week later the same on GMC jimmy.
