One problem related to front seat belt retractor has been reported for the 2002 Oldsmobile Bravada. The most recently reported issues are listed below. Please also check out the statistics and reliability analysis of the 2002 Oldsmobile Bravada based on all problems reported for the 2002 Bravada.
Passenger seat belt locks into place with little or no passenger movement, cannot be released without removing seatbelt completely and retracting completely. Also own a 2002 Chevrolet trailblazer w/ same problem on passenger side restraint. Passenger must remove seat belt every few minutes just to breathe or tuck shoulder strap behind them. This is a serious flaw on the passenger side seat belt on all 2002 Bravada's, trailblazers and envoys. Dealer has no fix at this time except to try a seat belt extender to change passenger side angle on restraint belt to see if it helps. This should be a serious recall issue. Will file seperate complaint for 2002 Chevrolet trailblazer also just purchased. This defect can cause death or serious injury should a crash occur while passenger is unrestrained while retracting and reapplying restraint.
