Failure Date: 01/31/2006

Transmission problems, windshield wipers not working, headlights not working, awd problems, cooling system problems, fuel pump, control arm & ball joint problems are just some of the major safety issues on 96-99 gm blazers, Bravada's, & jimmys. These problems should really be looked into and recalled. Most problems starting right after warranty expired. Can't believe gm is getting away with this. Transmission went bad at 71000 miles and dealer says that they know there was a defect with the transmissions also problem (code 1870) but they will not cover the repair.

9 Headlights problem of the 1999 Oldsmobile Bravada

While driving Oldsmobile Bravada and signaling for lane change the daytime running lights will turn off. When lane change is complete and turn signal is back to neutral position running lights turn back on. I have asked the car dealership to check this out and they seemed baffled by it, and have told me this is a normal function of the Bravada. I have tried to call Oldsmobile but no one seems to want to help. I feel this is a safety problem and would like an answer as to why the lights turn off while driving and signaling. The daytime running lights should remain on despite signaling while changing lanes. Please help me solve this problem. Thank you.
