Three problems related to brake disc rotor have been reported for the 1996 Oldsmobile Cutlass. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Rear calipers are frozen and do not work properly. Also, rear brakes are not functioning. The consumer says rear calipers stopped functioning causing unsafe condition, rotors were rusty and replaced.
Rear brake pads failed and resurfaced all four rotors.
We have replaced the front and rear brakes more than eight times and have replaced the rotors twice. We have talked with other Cutlass supreme owners and they have replaced their brakes just as much if not more frequently. This has resulted in costly repairs.
