Side/window Air Bag problems of the 1997 Oldsmobile Cutlass

Tl- the contact owns a 1997 Oldsmobile Cutlass. The contact stated that while traveling approximately 35 mph, the drivers side air bag deployed with force and hit the contact in the face causing limited visibility. There was a substance that emitted in the vehicle when the air bag deployed. The contact drove the vehicle and it was parked at the contacts residence. The contact sustained injuries to the face and neck. The contact did not receive medical attention. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and was to have the contact take the vehicle to an authorized dealer for further inspection and diagnosis. The vehicle was not repaired.
