Tire Sidewall Problems of Oldsmobile Cutlass

The contact owns a 1997 Oldsmobile Cutlass. The contact received recall notice for the futura 2000 radial lte tires. The remedy listed was to replace the tires in 60 days. The driver side front tire blew out. Pep boys stated that the recall expired , and she would have to pay the full price to have the tire replaced.

Tire blew out on sidewall next to tread. Travelling at low speed managed to pull off on side road out of traffic. When inspecting tire found all tires had cracks in outer tread groove nearest sidewalls similar to reports filed in odi id #750071 and #870103. Dealer claims this is a tire manufacturers problem and is not a dealer or car manufacturers problem even though the car is still under warranty.
