Three problems related to brake electric antilock have been reported for the 1997 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
My wife was traveliing southbound on IL tollway i94 when she proceded to brake for a toll plaza. She applied her brakes and had no response. She began attempting to brake about 500 feet from the plaza. The anti-lock brakes never responded and to her recollection the brakes never went on. She hit a cement barrior while trying to find a clear lane to pass through. This problem has been intermittant throughout the ownership of the car. When I have the vehicle looked at, no problems are found.
Brake pedal goes completely to floor when depressed. Makes noise. Problem is consistant. Vibrates badly. The 1st time, dealer found no problem. The 2nd time had rotors turned due to warping or out of round. Still problem of pedal to floor & noise exists.
When the brakes are applied the vheicle vibrates. The dealer has replaced the rotors and brakes twice prior to this incident.
