Wheel Rim problems of the 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue

Five problems related to wheel rim have been reported for the 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Wheel Rim problem

Failure Date: 10/28/2004

The finish on the rims peeled off and the valve stem leaked air. The part has been repaired, however the problem recurred. Please provide additional information.

2 Wheel Rim problem

Failure Date: 08/21/2001

Rims are severly corroded, causing brand new tire to leak serverly. I have a flat once a week on two of the four tires.

3 Wheel Rim problem

Failure Date: 11/22/1999

Driver's front wheel rim cracked, puncturing a hole in the tire, causing a slow leak which resulted in a flat tire. Please provide further information.

4 Wheel Rim problem

Failure Date: 10/20/1999

Vehicle had ongoing problem when the steering wheel was turned there was severe grinding and knocking noise that could be felt all the way to the floor. Dealership indicated that this was normal characteristic of the steering rack and pinion. Alloy wheels on vehicle began to peel causing tire to loose air replaced on 8/10/04 at a cost of 313. 00.

5 Wheel Rim problem

Front left tire and the rear right tire deflated due to corrosion on the rim of the wheel. Dealer put temporary seals on the rims to remedy the problem.
