Five problems related to anti-theft controller have been reported for the 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Car failed to start after noticing security light on, had to wait 10-15 min before starting again.
Oldsmobile Intrigue 1999 randomly the security light will come on and sometimes the car will not start for exactly 10 minutes. It has become very annoying because it has caused me to be late for several engagements. I have taken the car to the local gm dealer multiple times while under warranty and each time they claim they replaced the "broken part", but still after a couple of months it comes back and once again it won't start.
Passlock system failure, car will not start, key 'chip' fading.
Passlock (anti theft device) locks up and you can't start your car.
The vehicle anti-theft system was on. The consumer could not start the vehicle. The dealership repaired the problem once, but did not resolve the problem. This was an intermittent problem.
