Front Suspension Control Arm problems of the 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue

Two problems related to front suspension control arm have been reported for the 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Front Suspension Control Arm problem

Failure Date: 02/19/2004

In minor sideway skid, rr lower control arm bars (2), bent like they were made of coat hangars. Car only has 12000 miles on it, 1999 olds Intrigue, garage kept. Car flipped on to right side when control arm bars bent, causing vehicle to roll over on to side. Son matthew injured. This may be all w bodies in gm line. Cheapened system, new standards are needed to prevent vehicle roll over in minor skid. Son was not speeding at time of accident. After owning 38 gm cars, this disgusts me.

2 Front Suspension Control Arm problem

Failure Date: 08/01/1999

After starting vehicle then reversing could hear noise coming from front end, brakes had gone out and had to be replaced. Air conditioner had blownout hot air instead of cool air. Had to be repaired.
