Tl-the contact owns a 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue. The contact stated that while driving approximetly 55 mph, the vehicle stalled with out warning. The vehicle powered back on independtly, however this the driver to swerved from hitting another vehicle, and went into a ditch. The air bags failed to deploy. The driver sustained whiplash. A police report was filed of the incident. The vehicle was destroyed. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 202,000. Rg.
While turning left across traffic the vehicle seemed to not want to drive forward and then was hit broad side by another vehicle. The airbags did not deploy even though the vehicle was hit firmly around the passenger's side front tire and front fender and hood, the vehicle was a total loss. The steering did not seem to want to work and the seat belts did not lock in place.
Consumer states that when hit at 30mph on the front driver side of the vehicle the air bag did not deploy. Dealer notified. Nlm.
Brakes malfunctioned, when pedal was applied it was like stepping on a sponge with no response from brakes. This caused loss of control, and vehicle flipped and hit an tree at 55 mph. Upon impact, air bags did not deploy. Dealer has been contacted.
