Power steering failure. When pulling out of a tight parking place the power steering started making noises. After exiting the parking place the power steering is sluggish, but not all of the time. This is a safety issue as some time you can turn with no problem, other time it takes additional effort to move the steering. You never know what to expect!! I suppose it could totally fail at any time also!! the Oldsmobile garage (burke) has ordered a new power steering pump and will install it next week at a cost of five hundred and ninth four dollars to me. They say there have been no recalls or service bulletins on this problem. Old parts will be available when removed next week .
