1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue. While driving at any speed the vehicle stalled. The dashboard lights came on only after the car stalled. Had coast to the side of the road, tried several times to restart vehicle. It finally restarted. After several days vehicle stalled again. Had the car on diagnostic test and they could not duplicate the problem or find anything anything wrong. Diagnostic test was done twice. Replaced all the gaskets, the brain box, fuel filter. Spent several thousands of dollars for repairs. This problem started about 6 months ago. Updated 11/02/05.

As I was driving, the car stalled in the traffic. Passenger compartment filled with smoke making the passengers cough. Floor gear console was burning hot. Floor of the car was extremely hot ,forcing me to stop the engine and abandon the car for fear of explosion.
