Latches/locks/linkage Problems of Oldsmobile Intrigue

2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue. Problem starting the car. Key will not turn, I believe the problem is with the security system recognizing the key. I have paid to have a new key coded and this still does not start the vehicle. Dealer looking to charge several hundreds of dollars to fix.

1: no events leading up to problem 2: the pass lock in my 2000 olds Intrigue is "worn" out, randomly causing my car to turn off. Sometimes the car will not start. 3: appx $500 "replacement" cost. Not counting the diagnostic fee or towing.

We purchased a 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue in October of 2009. Within just a few weeks, we began experiencing difficulty with the passlock security system. Our keys were not being recognized. This resulted in periodic stalling, sometimes while trying to get through an intersection. The problem has gotten so bad that we are unable to start the car at all. Many people are experiencing this same problem. Please make gm pay for this repair.

Clunking noise in steering column; headlights dim on a whim; blinkers work when they feel like it; hazard lights fail intermittently; driver's electric window locks up in the closed position intermittently and last be not least transmission whines and clucks when shifting gears--intermittently of course. On going for last 3 years.
