Moisture was getting inside the headlight lens and caused discoloration and poor visibility when driving at night. Dealer was not notified.
Dim or flickering headlights - I saw that you are investigating dim or flickering headlights on Oldsmobile intrigue sedans 1999-2001. I have a 2000 Oldsmobile Silhouette that is having the same problems. It is most notibly apparent when you are idle in drive at a stop light. As you reach higher rpms the problem is less apparent. If you travel for a couple of hours the problem seems to get worse and shows up more regardless of rpm.
Headlights unsafe for nighttime driving. Excessive moisture buildup in the headlight since the vehicle was new has led to excessive clouding of the headlight lens. Also, the plastic lens has begun to disintegrate and feels "rough" to the touch (I. E. No longer smooth when touching the exterior surface of the lens). Nighttime lighting capability has been reduced by about 60% due to faulty headlight lens. Vehicle unsafe for nighttime driving.
