Brake Drum Wheel Cylinder Problems of Oldsmobile Silhouette

Brakes failed without warning (no indicator light) and no warning lights lit now. I have checked all brake pads, shoes, wheel cylinders and calipers and didn't find any indication of a problem. I have checked for leaks on the power booster and brake lines and didn't find any leaks. The local dealer hasn't observed a failure of this nature, I also called Oldsmobile (1-800-222-1020) and they were unaware of any cause for this failure.

Intake manifold gasket leaking at 38,000 miles. Replace by gm under warranty. Intake manifold leaking again at 70,000 miles. Needs to be replaced again. I contacted gm customer assistance and they basically said they wouldn't help me because they already paid for it once. This problem is in addition to brake cylinder problems and other coolant system problems. I also have considerable leaks in this vehicle.

The rear brakes are making a scraping sound, the dealer cleaned the brakes twice and the noise disappeared for a short time then returned, the dealer finally found that the shoes were soaked with brake fluid from leaky rear wheel cylinders. Nlm.

When applying brakes there was a squeaking noise. Took to dealer, and they said fluid is getting on drums. Consumer states both rear brake cylinders were replaced.

The rear wheel cylinder was leaking brake fluid. The dealer was contacted. The consumer's son has the same vehicle that experienced the same problem.
