Door problems of the 1996 Plymouth Breeze

Five problems related to door have been reported for the 1996 Plymouth Breeze. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Door problem

Failure Date: 03/17/2000

Many problems with electronic lock continuing to run, door squeaking and hard to open , trunk latch not working. All these problems have been repaired many times and I continue to have same problems.

2 Door problem

Failure Date: 08/19/1996

Driver's side door sticks due to misalignment.

3 Door problem

Doors are rusty and hard to close.

4 Door problem

When car is placed in park, the key will stick in the ignition. Motor turns off, but inside functions stay on (mileage lights, radio/clock) and key will not turn all the way to take it out. After trying over and over, something will "give" in the ignition, and the key will finally come out. Also, when you lock the doors, sometimes the power lock motor will make a "groaning-whining" noise, and not all of the doors will lock. These problems have been going on since shortly after purchase.

5 Door problem

Both rear doors squeak when opened and closed; grease has to be applied monthly for them to function.
