Three problems related to front suspension have been reported for the 1997 Plymouth Breeze. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Noise in the front was reported to dealer on April 27, 2000. Car was put up on rack, but no defect was found by mechanic at that time. While turning onto main road from side road, tie rod broke. Repairing mechanic ( not dealer) noted excessive wear of tie rods, for mileage on vehicle, and replaced both sides. Had I been up to speed I could have been involved in a serious accident. Dealer of vehicle supposedly did a safety check before we took delivery.
When driving at any speed there is vibration within the steering. Also, when applying brakes, they go halfway to the floorboard, and crack in half from overheating. In addition, driver's side door is getting rusty.
There is vibration at idle seat through steering wheel, the dealer has test driven the vehicle and confirmed the vibration. At this time there is nothing the dealer can do to repair the problem.
