Front Air Bag problems of the 1999 Plymouth Breeze

Four problems related to front air bag have been reported for the 1999 Plymouth Breeze. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Front Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 02/14/2005

While driving 45 mph an accident occurred consumer's vehicle rear-ended another vehicle. Upon impact, air bags on either side did not deploy. Consumer sustained a broken nose from hitting her face on the steering wheel. Contacted the dealer, and was told to contact NHTSA.

2 Front Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 02/02/2002

While traveling at 45 mph. Consumer hit a pole and none of the airbags deployed. Please provide any further information.

3 Front Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 08/01/2001

Driver's airbag panel loosened, and horn stopped working. Dealer said he could only repair horn, was not able to do anything about airbag panel.

4 Front Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 05/01/2001

Consumer was traveling 40mph on highway, and there was another vehicle which was hidden on passenger's side of lane. Consumer hit other vehicle from behind, and dual airbags didn't deploy. Consumer pased out, and dealership will be notified.
