1 Door Latch problem

Failure Date: 05/09/2004

I have been a Plymouth minivan owner since 1989, and our latest one (1996 has given us alot of enjoyment, but not without a 1and 1/2 inch thick repair file that started the very first month we bought it. Recently I just experienced my 5th failure of a sliding door, automatic lock mechanism and would like to know why a recall or dsb has not been issued. Two (2) locks were replaced under the one year or 12k mile warranty and three(3) were not. Along with all the other problems I've experienced with this vehicle, this has curred me from ever buying another Chrysler product, (even though I do like the Dodge trucks.

4 Door Latch problem

Failure Date: 11/24/1999

The windshield wipers go on whenever they want to, and the windshield wiper speed varies when set on low or medium, this has been a problem since the day we purchsed this car. The windshield wiper switch has been replaced 3 times. 2 times the car was under warranty this last replacement Chrysler paid for the part as goodwill, and the dealer charged me $68. 00. The wiper speed still varies (the problem has not been fixed). We have also had the weather stripping replaced 3 times and it is still falling off. The blower motor for the fan does not work on all speeds the fan motor was replaced once under warranty and again on 11/24 for which Chrysler paid for the parts and the dealer charged me $102. 00. Both sliding doors can not be opened from the inside. The door latches have been replaced 6 times, 5 times under warranty, and the last time on 11/24 Chrysler paid for the parts as goodwill and the dealer charged $102. There has been other repair work done to the sliding doors in total my car has been serviced 23 times. Alltogether it has cost me $352 to fix things that have been wrong since day one and that other voyager owners also seem to have the same problem with.
