Five problems related to front air bag sensor control have been reported for the 1996 Plymouth Grand Voyager. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
When starting vehicle the radio did not come on , but the air bag light came on and stayed on. However, and the dash board lights did not come on. Had to restart the vehicle in order to get the radio to work, the air bag light to go off, and the dashboard lights to register. This happened on June 2, 2005.
Failure of dealer to fix recalled airbag clockspring recall #b24 issued on November 14th. Dealer refused to fix the recall because my van windows have chalk on them to tell the public the problems I have had with this vehicle.
Ea 01 007/air bag clockspring failure: vehicle air bag sensor light remains on while traveling, and horn is inoperative. Manufacturer notified.
Vehicle experience problem with air bag sensor light staying on. Dealer notified and informed consumer that the clock spring needs to be replaced at consumer's cost. Consumer would like to know should this be at dealer's/ manufacturer's expense. Can NHTSA help with this matter or provide additional information.
