Front Seat Belt Anchorage problems of the 1996 Plymouth Grand Voyager

Three problems related to front seat belt anchorage have been reported for the 1996 Plymouth Grand Voyager. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Front Seat Belt Anchorage problem

Failure Date: 03/08/2002

Chrysler says generation 4 seat belts are not available for my vehicle--even if I pay for the expense--I want to replace my gen3 with gen4.

2 Front Seat Belt Anchorage problem

Failure Date: 09/05/2001

Drivers side seatbelt "d" ring has 3 fractures, all in different places. One fracture is very large and the other two are of good size. The vehicle has never been involved in a collision and no abnormal stress has been placed upon this componet to cause such fractures. It is reasonably new and was not there as of about 2 months ago. I just discovered it on or about 09-05-01.

3 Front Seat Belt Anchorage problem

The seat belt does not tighten properly, doesn't roll in, the design with children's legs straight out causes their legs to go numb.
