Headlight Concealment Device problems of the 1997 Plymouth Grand Voyager

Two problems related to headlight concealment device have been reported for the 1997 Plymouth Grand Voyager. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Headlight Concealment Device problem

Failure Date: 01/17/2007

For several years the lenses covering my headlights are getting more and more hazed. This is not due to anything I have done on my part. The hazing has caused the lights to become so dense that night driving is becoming extremely dangerous. I am now very caution and limit my night driving with this vehicle. I have also began to notice other Grand Voyagers experiencing the same difficulty. This hazing is not from my own abuse through automatic car washes or from neglect. It is a defect. I have taken the vehicle to a repair shop who tried to improve the hazing but it was only minimally affective. To have these lenses replaced will cost over $600! my husband's 1987 Honda civic's lights and lenses are outstanding. I believe this is a defect in the manufacturing of this headlight/lens.

2 Headlight Concealment Device problem

Failure Date: 12/01/2003

Letter regarding factory inferior headlights on 1997 Plymouth Grand Voyager. (nar) the consumer stated the lenses contained a haze and did not give off enough light for night travel.
