Four problems related to vehicle speed control have been reported for the 1997 Plymouth Grand Voyager. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
When foot is on brake pedal, car surges forward, causing an accident. Dealer has found no cause for problem, which continues to occur. (date below is approximate for accident).
When making a left or right turn engine races, but transmission fails to engage. Also, transmission only functions properly when it is in reverse or first gear. Dealer has replaced transmission five times, which has not corrected problem. Front brakes failed twice.
While foot is on brake pedal, the vehicle surges forward almost causing a collision.
While driving at highway speeds and trying to pass another vehicle, engine revs, and the accelerator has to be released before the transmission catches up. Dealer has been contacted, says this condition is normal.
