Cruise control, horn does not work -this was within 30 days of each other. Airbag light comes on then goes off again. No accident caused this to occur.
The contact owns a 2000 Plymouth Grand Voyager. The air bag warning indicator light illuminated. When the vehicle was stopped, all of the gauge needles in the instrument panel would fluctuate up and down. The dealer serviced the vehicle for NHTSA campaign id number 04v480000 (air bags). The air bag light dimmed for six months, but then illuminated again. The dealer stated that the power distributor failed and they replaced the pdc. The failure mileage was 56,000 and current mileage was 105,000.
The air bag light appeared on the dashboard and remained on. Consumer will contact the dealer the next day.
There is a recall on Plymouth voyagers 1998 and older doing the same things my 2000 is doing, which is not under recall. The specific problems are: the airbag light has been on constantly for 6 weeks and for the past month the horn does not honk and the cruise control doesn't turn on. I'm very concerned about what exactly is wrong with the airbags, now that I know there is a recall issue for older models. I have not attempted to have it repaired, because I cannot afford to take it to the dealer for repair.
While driving/parking clock spring failed. This caused the horn not to work, and the air bag light to illuminate intermittently. The dealership was notified, but did not resolve the problem.
While driving the cruise control and horn stopped working. The fuses were checked but none of them were bad. After that the air bag lights came on. The vehicle was taken to the dealer.
