Speed Control Springs problems of the 1997 Plymouth Voyager

Five problems related to speed control springs have been reported for the 1997 Plymouth Voyager. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Speed Control Springs problem

Failure Date: 07/01/2002

The consumer states that the clock spring is bad and the air bag light stays illuminated, the horn will not work, and the cruise control will not engage.

2 Speed Control Springs problem

Failure Date: 06/13/2002

Clockspring snapped, causing horn/cruise control not to work, and airbag light to stay on while driving. Cause unknown. Dealer will be contacted.

3 Speed Control Springs problem

Failure Date: 06/11/2002

Clockspring has snapped, causing horn/cruise control not to work, and airbag light to stay on while driving. Cause unknown. Dealer will be contacted.

4 Speed Control Springs problem

Failure Date: 01/01/2001

Airbag light remains illuminated on the dash. Also, stated horn and cruise control are inoperative. Dealer has stated airbag clockspring is the source of the problem. Please provide further details.

5 Speed Control Springs problem

Failure Date: 11/11/2000

Air bag light stays on, both horn and cruise control don't work. Probably clock spring? possible recall.
