Five problems related to tire have been reported for the 1997 Plymouth Voyager. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Tires had been wearing out, and aligment had not corrected problem. Please provide more information.
Shimmy at low speed. Dealer dignosed tread / belt separation. Michelin dealer replaced tires with symmetry tires explaining old series no longer available, but symmetry was same tire with same tread pattern. Dealer admitted that they've been having trouble with the xw4 tires, but refused to provide any information. I was sold new tires at reduced cost, but paperwork doesn't list tread separation as the reason. Co-worker had same problem with michelin tires on pickup truck. Is michelin having firestone problems? (dot number: hdt2 472x tiresize: p215/65r15).
While vehicle was being driven air bags deployed without a collision occurring, cause unknown. Also, in rainy weather conditions water enters vehicle from dash area, causing electrical shortage. The windshield wiper had no gasket along botton. Tire tread separated while traveling. Four sets of brake pads and two sets of rotors faile in two years period.
Vehicle was taken to dealer to have recall repair done, and the dealer didn't do what the recall stated they should do, to correct the problem. (97v-200).
Three tire failures, first tire failure began 30 days after ownership. (goodyear conquest p215/65r15).
