Windshield Wiper/washer problems of the 1997 Plymouth Voyager

: the contact stated while driving 40 mph, the windshield wipers became inoperable without warning. The vehicle was driven to the dealer who determined the bcm control needed to be replaced.

Windshield wipers come on by themselves, sticking on windshield and blocking driver's view. May be caused by a shortage in motor or switch.

Cruise control, horn, back-up lights, windshield washer front & rear, air bag light stays on.

Windshield wipers come on without my turning them on. Seems to occur with a lot of other vans of friends as well.

When driving windhsield wipers come on with turning swithch, then they'll go off by them self.

Problems started with windshield wipers not functioning properly, then the back up lights didnt work, then the horn quit, then the cruise control and the airbag light came on all the time, now the lock on the side door passenger side is being tempermental. I took it in to dealer today. Kunkels in export, PA.

Windshield wipers randomly go on and off, and sometimes when the vehicle is not even on. Also, this also happens when making a left turn . Dealer was contacted and problem was fixed at owner's cost.

The windshield wipers will turn on at any time or when l and r turn signals are used.

This van, slightly over 1 year old, has a history of stalling, windshield wipers going on without reason and off, radio breaking, tape player making noise when not used and the brakes went out the first time, I was told it was fixed, and the very next day they went out again almost causing a serious accident and deaths. This is serious and I would like to know actions taken by NHTSA concerning this as I have seen many other instances/complaints of stalling, windshield wiper problems and serious brake defects and breakdowns on NHTSA's customer complaints on the internet. I believe that NHTSA should give more serious investigative attention against daimler Chrysler concerning the stalling and brake problems as this is putting people's lives in danger it seems on a constant and re-occuring basis!.

Abs brakes; when applying brakes in normal conditions, pedal went to the floor and brakes failed to stop vehicle, causing a extended stopping distance before vehicle came to stop. Windshield wipers operate sporatically.

Windshield wipers come on without turning them on, van was taken to the dealer about three times without the defect being corrected. Air bag lights came on also. Vehicle is now out of warranty and now the air bag light is on all the time, horn does not work and the cruise control does not work.

Was driving vehicle when the windshield wipers came on by themselves & then went off by themselves. The problem is intermittent. Whenever windshield wipers are turned on, would work just fine. Have contacted dealer & mechanic wants to diagnose problem.
