My spouse was taking off from the bank when she heard a bang. Auto dealer determined pin broke and went through wall of differential. Auto would not move. Contact with transmission company gained information that they have gotten 1 of these incidents per week. Compnay called was transmission supply in eau claire, wis. I would think this to be a major concern should this happen going at high speeds. Please inform me of any information available or record this incident. Chrysler did offer to pay all but $500 dollars even though my warranty went off approximately 6 weeks ago. Thanks.
From what I understand this is a common failure in these vans. This pin in the transmission breaks and shoots through the transmission housing. This is a manufacturing defect that Chrysler should correct. This is going to cost me $2000. 00. Who's to say this won't happen again. Recall these vans and fix this problem!.
Consumer heard a loud noise from the vehicle, when the consumer pulled over, a pink substance had leaked from the vehicle. On each occasion , the transmission had gone out, and a loud noise was heard. The transmission differential failed. The keepler pin was found not properly hardened. Scc.
