1 Frame And Members problem

Failure Date: 10/26/2009

The strut towers of 2000 Chrysler Voyager are completely rusted out. If they break apart it will likely break through the hood or windshield causing serious accident and or injuries we were told by bloomington Chrysler (the dealership where we purchased the vehicle) it would be $1000. 00 to repair. They told me they have repaired over 30 similar vehicles just this summer 2009 with same problem.

2 Frame And Members problem

Failure Date: 05/27/2009

TSB #2304402 and NHTSA #10000317: I have this problem of a rusted out strut tower. My mechanic informed me that it could be dangerous to drive. Although this is a common problem for 1996 - 2000 minivans for all three Chrysler models during those years, there is no recall by the manufacturer, and there should be.

3 Frame And Members problem

Failure Date: 10/27/2006

: the contact stated when the vehicle was taken in for a state inspection; the mechanic noticed the driver side strut tower was badly corroded. The mechanic expressed that the vehicle would probably not pass inspection the next time. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who contacted the manufacturer to check for recalls. The vehicle was not involved in any recalls. The service dealer also suggested that the contact should file a complaint with the manufacturer. The contact planned to notify the manufacturer after filing a complaint with the NHTSA. Updated 01/10/06.
