1 Seat Belt problem

Failure Date: 11/20/2005

My husband was installing my son's car seat. When he grabbed the shaft of the seat belt (the part attached to the floor), it came completely out. Apparently the metal part that is attached to the seat is completely gone. The dealership is telling me I'm responsible for buying a new seat because my warranty is expired.

2 Seat Belt problem

Failure Date: 08/16/2003

On several occasions, I noticed the seatbelt holding my son's carseat in place had come unlatched. To the best of my knowledge, nothing was done to cause it to open. I own a 2000 Plymouth grand Voyager and recently read that apparently, this is a problem with my vehicle and its generation 3 seatbelts. I contacted a dealer this morning to request replacement of the 7 seatbelts and was told they don't do that. I was asked if there was a problem with them and I mentioned that they had spontaneously unlatched and that I'd been reading of problems with that type of seatbelt. I was then told that that was a legal issue and I needed to contact the corporate office, which I will do this afternoon.

3 Seat Belt problem

Failure Date: 05/21/2003

I would like to have the generation 3 seat belts recalled in the Chrysler cars and vans as the latches protrude and may be unsafe.

4 Seat Belt problem

Failure Date: 04/27/2003

I own a 2000 Plymouth Voyager. The seat belt in my middle seat on the drivers side spontaneously releases. This is the seat I had my 6 month old infant in. After the 4th time in a 3 week period I switched my son to a different seat.

5 Seat Belt problem

Failure Date: 01/07/2003

I own a 2000 Chrysler Mini van and on two occasions the seat belt have released while I was still parked in my driveway. On both occasions I was reaching over to get something from the passenger seat and the buckle came undone. I thought I had not secured it properly because my arm hit the lock on the seat belt. Now I find out today that I may have hit the buckle but it should not have popped open as there is a defect in the seat belt. Even thought it is a 2000 model I do not have the gen 4 type of belts in the front. The van must have been manufactured in the late 1999.

6 Seat Belt problem

Failure Date: 10/23/2002

Consumer stated the seat belt in the rear middle seat, won't stay buckled. Cause unknown. Ts.
