1 Body problem of the 2024 Porsche 911

Failure Date: 08/10/2025

The glass sunroof exploded out while driving on the road, there were no other cars driving ahead of me as I was on a highway onramp. The car is current at the dealership pending repair. The glass exploded outward and could have hit a car following. The car has been inspected by the dealer and insurance company. There was no prior warning, however the sunroof had a rattle present when closed that the dealer was not able to resolve.

2 Body problem of the 2012 Porsche 911

Failure Date: 10/18/2023

1. Door panel issue. I have a 2012 911, and have noticed last year that the door panels have popped up on both sides, it looks like the glue has given way. It seems that this is a common issue for Porsche 911. 2. Keyless entry issue. I was not able to lock my car by pressing by the door handle's button. I was able to unlock the car. I then tried on the passenger's side and was able to lock it. It's been going on for months, and every time it occurs I will have to spend minutes to get into the car.

3 Body problem of the 2015 Porsche 911

Failure Date: 01/14/2022

Spoiler lift spring brackets on both sides are broken allowing the springs to get in the way of the normal performance of the spoiler. This could impede the deployment of the spoiler or the successful retraction of the spoiler, creating a reduction in downforce (grip) or creating a safety hazard of a non-fully retracted spoiler. This was identified by a third-party repair shop during maintenance work. In doing further research online I have determined that this is an extremely common issue on this model generation (991. 1) that Porsche will not address.

4 Body problem of the 2008 Porsche 911

Failure Date: 11/29/2021

Catastrophic coolant loss due to failure of a known issue by manufacturer. The coolant loss resulted due to failure of the epoxy that held the hose to the manifold. The epoxy failure affected 3 of the hoses. This was part of a dot bulletin affecting this model year. Failure on my vehicle came later after warranty had expired due to low mileage. Also in 2021 the rear lid spoiler failed (another known high failure issue known to manufacturer) due to hydraulic fluid loss. Both repairs came at a extremely high cost and manufacturer refused consideration for help unless vehicle was repaired at their own dealer. This after I had made contact and advised them of location of vehicle at a service facility that is recognized by manufacturer as a credible alternative to their dealer.

5 Body problem of the 2004 Porsche 911

Failure Date: 03/01/2008

The event happened in 2008. Purchased Porsche gt 3 from Porsche dealer in 2006. Accelerating onto a limited access highway from an entrance ramp the car made a violent fishtail movement in a counterclocwise direction causing a 180 deg. Spin. I tried to correct but no response and then applied brakes heavely but car continued its movement eventually hitting a concrete barrier in the right rear. The car had to be towed and eventually totaled by the insurance company. At the impact site I did notice fluid on the road and also back up the road. Since my wife was injured and needed to be taken to the hospital, I was more focused on tending to her but as I look back and also reading about the collant problems this car is having I would not be surprised if this car had a discharge of cooling fluid. As a side note, I do hold a competition drivers license with the scca and have competed for over 30 years and have owned Porsches for over 40 years. I presently own another 2004 gt 3 and very concerned about this problem. ## VIN failed ##.
