Sensing System Camera Problems of Porsche 911

The contact owns a 2018 Porsche 911. The contact stated that while driving in reverse, the back over prevention system failed to display a rear view image. After a visual inspection inspection of the rear of of the vehicle the contact became aware that the reverse lights also failed to illuminate. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the transmissions reverse switch. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 26,000.
