Car Stall Problems of Porsche 911 Carrera

The contact owned a 2014 Porsche 911 Carrera. While driving 15 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact exited the vehicle and noticed that the engine was on fire. The fire department was able to extinguish the fire, but not until the vehicle was totally destroyed. There were no injuries. A fire report was filed. Driving normally. Loss of power. Message indicated reduced engine powe ok to drive. Tried to pull over to shoulder. Car stalls in middle of high traffic high speed highway. Smoke appeared. Could not get out of car for fear of being hit. At same time worried about being rear ended. Smoke thickens. Flames out of engine compartment but I did see it. Almost rear ended. Person stopped and got me out of the car. A minute later flames build and penetrate fire wall. Quickly spread to interior and the car was engulfed in flames. 1 minute more in the car and I would have been burnt or dead. Shamed if I was rear ended. Dangerous and traumatic.

The dealer could not find the cause of the problem. The dealer changed the spark plugs, but the code showed that cylinder six was faulty. The problem seemed to be intermittent.
